ANZES partially open day at Christchurch

An alternative day for Blue Bus today with a visit to the ANZES semi open day (for staff, friends and family). Somehow I managed to get in and I met a couple of the P&W engine staff wearing their protective clothing.
Then I stumbled across this large object. Let it be know that it is almost a first for me today. I actually photographed an aircraft larger than, and weighing more than a DC-3. I even managed a walk through the cattle class section. [Which sort of leads up to the previous & probably the next blog]. This is B747 ZK-NBU, c/n 25605, which has been on line with ANZ since September of 1992.
I managed a slightly better shot of the Friendship ZK-BXH today. According to "The Man" the only thing stopping it from flying are the "O" rings. Hmm !
Also noted in the Hangar was Airbus A310 ZK-OJI. B737 ZK-NGR, Hercules LC130 "3300", Cessna 172 ZK-EXE, Cessna A152 ZK-FSL, Dragonfly ZK-PJM, Varieze ZK-ZAP, Yak-55 ZK-JPO, Cessna 172RG ZK-NAC, PA-28's ZK-LJE and LJJ, R44 ZK-ITZ, Airtrainer ZK-JMF, Partinavia ZK-TZZ, with F27 ZK-BXH, B747 ZK-NGU & DC-3 ZK-AMY outside. [AMY selling rides].
