Beavers & Beavers # 4 ZK-BXJ

De Havilland DHC-2 Beaver c/n 1054 was built for the US Military as a L-20 and allocated the US serial 56-364 and delivered on 25-02-1957. Post military service it was allocated the US civil registration of N74085 with State Airlines. I believe they refurbished it and sold it on to NZ.
It was imported by DH NZ in 1965 and first flew here on 07-10-1965 as ZK-BXJ and was allocated to Barr Bros (HB) Ltd at Waipukarau, arriving there on the following day.
Two views of ZK-BXJ as spied at Waipukarau on 08-05-1971.
It had an argument with its loader on a steep strip at Tutira on 02-06-1973 and its registration was cancelled on 09-07-1973. It remains where then stored at Palmerston North until sold  "as is" to Aerial Agriculture Ltd of Bankstown, Sydney with whom it was registered as VH-IMC on 03-04-1974. As seems to be the Australian custom - it was cancelled and restored several times - presumeably during maintenance.
VH-IMC as seen at Glen Innes on 10-04-1977.

It was finally cancelled on 04-03-1996 and returned to Canada where it became C-FYNT on14-06-1996 with Les Placements JSGP Inc at Mascouche, Quebec. Later ownership changes include moves to Club Cesar (1993) Ltd at St Hilaire, Q from 26-07-2002. To Olivier Brossard of St-Basile-Le Grand, Q on 19-11-2009. To Eta Avn & Cesar Camp du Nord Inc on 24-02-2010 and the most recent move is to Air Tamarac Inc at St-Hyacynthe, Quebec on 12-07-2010.
