Tokyo Haneda and Narita airports closed due to earthquake (Update)

As information, due to the earthquake situation in the Japan region, the Japan Airport Authority (JAA) has temporarily closed Narita (NRT) airport for all civilian services.. Reports are that Haneda has re-opened but information from the JAA on this issue remain unconfirmed.
Most aircraft en-route to NRT or HND have been and/or will be diverted to regional destinations in Japan such as Nagoya (NGO), or Osaka (KIX), some short-haul services have been forced back to their origin (RTFL) points..
Many US => Japan flights have diverted to points in Korea (ICN), to Anchorage (ANC) or will be returned to other US West Coast cities.
If you are planning to fly to/from/via Japan and specifically in the Tokyo region, you should check with your airline for *possible* flight interruption and scheduling issues as aircraft repositioning and flight crew duty legalities may come into play.
