ATR

Aerei da Trasporto Regionale or Avions de Transport Régional is a major regional turboprop aircraft maker created in 1982 when Alenia Aeronautica, a Finmeccanica Company from Italy , and EADS Group from France made a joint venture to create turbo propeller aircrafts. The company headquarters are located in Toulouse-Blagnac, France.They make cost effective short haul aircrafts like 50-seater ATR 42-500, which entered into service in 1995, followed by the stretched 70-seater ATR 72-500 version in 1997. Highly efficient Pratt & Whitney of Canada PW100 series engines are used to power ATR aircrafts.
