Sofia will have to wait until it sees Adria in the sky
Slovenia’s national carrier, Adria Airways, has suspended 1 service and will suspend 2 scheduled services which were due to commence during the 2009 summer season. The reason for the unexpected service cuts is due to the global financial crisis. The planned service from Adria’s hub Ljubljana to Sofia, scheduled to commence on March 30, 2009 has been suspended. JP876/877 was to operate 3 times per week to the Bulgarian capital using the CRJ200 (flight details can be found here). The planned service from Ljubljana to Madrid, which is also commencing on March 30 will stay in Adria’s schedule.Recently Adria ended operations from Ljubljana to Oslo while it also announced it will no longer operate its usual seasonal summer service to Birmingham. This will now leave Adria with only 1 new destination this summer. In the next month you will be able to read Adria’s summer schedule.
