Aviation Maintenance Technician

Overview:
We call upon our Aviation Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance, preventative maintenance and alterations on production and experimental aircraft. Tasks may range from troubleshooting, testing, inspecting, repairing, and servicing aircraft systems and sub-systems to performing audits/surveillance of all manufacturing and quality assurance processes per specifications, processes and procedures. Day-to-day, you could find yourself working on a variety of systems ranging from avionics to structural and electrical to engines.

Sample Responsibilities, Based on Experience:
• Sets up and operates aircraft jacking equipment and disassembles aircraft or components as required.
• Installs, removes, replaces and/or re-routes wires, wire bundles, and/or electric assemblies.
• Initiates and documents any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts assemblies, or parts thereof according to specifications, processes and procedures.
• Consults with management, engineering, planning, inspection or customers on process or job related issues.
Desired Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate is preferred.
• Knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems, plant systems, aircraft systems and electronic technology.
• Understanding of basic electricity and electrical systems and wiring specifications and requirements to fabricate and/or install components.
